Plot summary
Mickey and Jules are young lovers and clumsy criminals who mark their last score before a new life in Florida by robbing a gas station. On a road through the woods the car runs out of gas, so they walk until they reach a large house standing alone. No owners answer, though a vehicle sits in the garage, so they force the front door in search of a gas can. In the basement a girl is chained to a column, silent and covered in grime. When they return upstairs, George and Gloria, the homeowners, walk in on them, and Jules demands to know why the girl they call Sweetiepie is chained below. George offers them money and the car, but Mickey refuses to leave without her.
