Plot summary
In Atlanta, Peter and Emma, both in their thirties, are each dumped by a partner. Anne, stifled after six years with Peter, ends the relationship, and Noah breaks up with Emma over her lack of responsibility. Heartbroken, the two meet by chance and become friends, helping one another through the breakups. One night, both desperate, they agree on a plan: Emma will pursue Logan, Anne's new boyfriend, and Peter will get close to Noah. Emma volunteers to help with the school play Logan is putting on at his middle school, and Peter gets Noah, now seeing Ginny, to take him on as a training client.
