Jordan Carlos
Biography
Jordan Carlos is an American stand-up comedian and writer who started out doing sets at night and on weekends while he worked as a copywriter at a New York advertising firm after graduating from Brown University in 2001. He eventually gave up advertising for comedy, turning his own trouble finding a niche audience into material for his jokes. He is best known for his recurring role as Alan, Stephen Colbert's black friend on The Colbert Report, and for co-hosting the Nickelodeon children's show Me TV. He wrote for The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, where he also appeared in sketches and on the panel as characters including Carlos Jordanson and Dennis Rodman. His screen credits include a main role in I Just Want My Pants Back on MTV, appearances on Guy Code, Guy Court and Girl Code, and voiced Gene on the animated series Super 4.
