I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020) on Netflix

Plot summary

Jake drives his girlfriend to the remote farm where his parents live, and she spends the journey turning over whether the relationship should continue. To pass the time he tries to remember a poem he read years earlier and asks for one of hers; hers is about coming home. At the farmhouse he takes her to the barn and tells her how maggots ate the farm's pigs alive. Inside, she spots scratches on the basement door. Over dinner she passes around photographs of the landscapes she paints and says she and Jake met at a bar trivia night, though her account keeps shifting. Throughout, a janitor goes to work at a high school.
