Plot summary
Lieutenant Commander Block asks Topper Harley, a Navy pilot, to return to active duty for a secret mission called Operation Sleepy Weasel. Harley had left the service and gone to live among Native Americans after an incident shook his belief in his own flying. His therapist, Ramada Thompson, tries to keep him out of the cockpit. He also falls into a feud with Kent Gregory, a fellow pilot and Ramada's former boyfriend, who holds Harley's father, Buzz, to blame for the death of his own father, Mailman Farnham.
