Ryan Stiles

Ryan Stiles is an American-Canadian comedian and actor whose career centers on improvisational comedy. Born in Seattle and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, he began doing stand-up at clubs and performed with the Vancouver Theatresports League and The Second City. By 1989 he had attracted the attention of producers of the British Whose Line Is It Anyway, where he was a regular until the show ended in 1998 and earned critical praise. In 1995 he began playing Lewis Kiniski on The Drew Carey Show, and he later served as an executive producer on the American version of Whose Line Is It Anyway, receiving a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2002. His film roles include Hot Shots! (1991) and Hot Shots! Part Deux (1993). On television he played Herb Melnick on Two and a Half Men from 2004 to 2015 and was a performer and executive producer on The CW's revival of Whose Line Is It Anyway in 2013.
