Plot summary
Samuel, Jeffrey and Michael Douglas spend every summer at their grandfather's cabin, where Mori Tanaka trains them in ninjutsu. As the summer ends he gives each boy a ninja name: Rocky, Colt and Tum-Tum. Their father, Sam, is an FBI agent whose sting operation against arms dealer Hugo Snyder fails when Snyder escapes by helicopter. Snyder, once Mori's business partner, visits the cabin, where his ninjas test Mori and are beaten with the boys' help; he demands that Mori persuade Sam to call off the pursuit and threatens the family. He and his associate Nigel Brown then plan to kidnap the brothers as leverage against Sam, and Brown recruits his nephew Fester, a surfer, along with Hammer and Marcus, for the job.
