Plot summary
Casa de Milagro is a family business in Santa Fe, New Mexico, that makes Christmas ornaments and decorations drawn from Mexican traditions. The designs belong to the matriarch, Milagro Ortega, and buyers seek them out each holiday season. Her children, Tony and Magdalena, have run the shop their whole lives with help from their father. Belinda Sawyer holds an executive post at a large Chicago chain of greeting card and holiday decoration stores, and she travels to Santa Fe to buy the shop. Milagro dies without warning, and the family is left to carry on without her. Attraction grows between Belinda and Tony.
