Plot summary
School lets out for summer, and Troy Bolton wants work that will help him pay for college. Sharpay Evans, who is still bitter about the winter musical, orders Mr. Fulton, the manager of her family's Lava Springs Country Club, to take Troy on. Troy agrees only if his friends are hired too, so Gabriella Montez and the other Wildcats join the staff. Gabriella takes a lifeguard post, while Troy, Chad Danforth and the rest begin in the kitchen. Sharpay dislikes having Gabriella there and cannot have her dismissed.
