Helen (2009) on Netflix

Plot summary

Friends, a second husband, David, and a teenage daughter, Julie, fill Helen Leonard's life alongside her university teaching and her music. She is also the ex-wife of Frank, Julie's father. Then something starts to seem wrong. She cannot tell whether David is unfaithful, whether she has a serious illness, or whether her past is the cause. Her suppressed mental illness returns, and she is hospitalized. In treatment she forms a bond with Mathilda, one of her students, a young woman who has bipolar disorder and is also struggling. Helen will not talk about her own condition with the people close to her.
