Plot summary
Stéphane Margelle is a rich businessman in his fifties and a compulsive womanizer. He drives his wife Sophie to the airport for the Easter holiday. There he meets Julie, who has just quarreled with her married lover and needs a bed for the night. She agrees to return to his apartment. Sophie's trip is cancelled by a strike, and she walks in on them. Stéphane improvises: Julie is a daughter from before their marriage, living in Limoges. Julie supports the story. Sophie gives her the guest room, and Julie says she is pregnant. Stéphane is also negotiating a deal with Rousseau, a socialist civil servant who dislikes capitalists.
