Did you know?!Facts and trivia about L'opération Corned Beef (1991)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Because President François Mitterrand appears only from behind in the film, the makers held a "casting of skulls" to find an actor whose head looked closest to his.
- Catherine Jacob had to turn down the part of Marie-Laurence Granianski because she was already cast in Bertrand Blier's Merci la vie; she was nominated for a César for Best Supporting Actress alongside Valérie Lemercier, who took the part.
- Marie-Anne Chazel, Christian Clavier's companion, was the one who suggested Jean Reno for the role of Le Squale.
- The scenes meant to take place in Colombia were shot in Mexico instead, and in one of them a Mexican flag can be seen on a building.
