Plot summary
Paul King died of kidney cancer, and five years later his father Preston King invites the doctors who failed to save him to his island in the western Pacific. Paul's widow Amelia Lockhart, who believes her husband died of the disease, makes the trip with Tom Reed, the man she has grown close to. King was once dismissed from his post, and the guests are the doctors who dismissed him. On the island he shows them what he has done with the years since: Paul's stem cells were changed with hammerhead shark DNA, and the result is a half-man, half-shark creature called Hammerhead. King lets it out into the water, and Amelia and Tom have to get away from it.
