Lydie Denier

Lydie Denier, a French-American model and actress, was born in Saint-Nazaire, France, and began modeling at 14, appearing in magazines such as Vogue and ELLE. As a teenager she traveled through Africa, the Caribbean and Germany, where she signed a record deal with Polygram to sing ballads. After attending Miss Italia 1984, she decided to act and settled in Los Angeles, taking commercials and videos while she studied acting. Her first U.S. feature role came in 1988 in Bulletproof. She worked on series including General Hospital, The Flash, Starman and Baywatch, and in 1991 was cast as Jane Porter in the Tarzán series. Zalman King cast her in Wild Orchid II: Two Shades of Blue and Red Shoe Diaries. Later credits include Silk Stalkings, The New Adventures of Robin Hood, Tarzan: The Epic Adventures and Conan the Adventurer, plus a spy role in Acapulco H.E.A.T. She also appeared in Spin City, Gilmore Girls and Hammerhead (2005).
