Plot summary
In 2018, Dante is held in a Spanish prison after arriving as a stowaway from Rabat without papers. He breaks out, and the prison's Rottweiler police dog comes after him, a dog the warden, Kufard, had revived with cybernetic parts. Dante is trying to reach Puerto Angel, where he believes his girlfriend Ula was put to work in a brothel as a punishment. Wounded and worn down by the chase, he suffers hallucinations and memories of the night he and Ula were arrested. At a small farm he meets Alyah, who covers him with a shotgun, and a young girl, Esperanza. Alyah once worked in Puerto Angel and offers him help.
