Plot summary
The killings at Atlanta Memorial Hospital bring Hailey Dean into the case. She is a psychologist who used to work as a prosecutor, and she helps her friend Detective Garland Fincher with the case. The first of the deaths leaves his girlfriend, Meghan Phillips, named as a suspect, so Fincher is investigating a case that involves someone close to him. Every new victim widens the list of people who could be responsible. Hailey has an ability to read people and the investigative habits of a former prosecutor, and she uses both as she works through the clues the killings leave behind.
