Plot summary
Frank Collins writes best-selling books, but writer's block stops him from working on his next novel. He and his wife, Emma, are behind on their bills. Emma's father, Eduardo, a retired lawyer and former convict, comes to live with them. Eduardo's presence makes writing harder, so Frank asks Eduardo's friends to visit and occupy him. The house soon holds many older guests and grows chaotic. Frank and Emma see a chance to earn money by housing and watching these seniors. A social worker, Ned Tooley, wants to shut the operation down.
