Plot summary
Three pairs of teenage friends run into trouble. Jake Logan is a science whiz whose best friend is his dog Murray. Julianne, a popular classmate, wants Jake to work on a science project with her and tries to push Murray aside. Avalon Greene and Halley Brandon created the web magazine GeeklyChic. A New York publisher, Cherie St. Claire, offers to buy it, and the two friends must compete for the job of senior editor. Savannah O'Neal, who skateboards and has a crush on Jake, meets Emma Reynolds, a wealthy private-school student who looks like her, and they trade places.
