Plot summary

Alexander Coates, an old-school mob kingpin, runs the criminal empire in his town with a mix of nobility and brutality, and he is torn between the legacy he has built and a wish to leave the life behind. A cold-blooded gangster called Ice Man wants to use the town's network to climb to power, and a merciless Mexican cartel is another power in the town. Alexander's one friend is his enforcer and protégé Hurst, whom he sends to carry out a simple hit in a prison. The hit goes wrong, and Hurst is banished to the city he almost once ruled, where Oso, an ex-con who owns a restaurant, offers him help.
