Bren Foster
Biography
Bren Foster is an Australian actor, born in 1976, who started performing while still in high school and went on to train on both sides of the Pacific. After studying film and video production, he traveled to New York to study at The Barrow Group Theater, then returned home to win a place at the University of Western Sydney, known as Theater Nepean, and spent two years at the Sanford Meisner based Actors Pulse. He worked steadily in Australian television drama before his breakout as Jamal in Cedar Boys, a performance that drew praise from Empire Film magazine, which called him a born star. A longtime martial arts student, he also filmed extreme martial arts for the Discovery Channel and put those skills to the test for the National Geographic Channel documentary Fight Science, building a career in film and television in Australia and the United States.
