Plot summary

Tim Tucker once captained the Hamilton Steelhawks and seemed bound for the major leagues until an injury in the Sterling Cup championship game ended that path. He left Hamilton and stayed away for ten years. Now he is back, caring for his teenage brother Matthew, who used to be called Matty. Tim takes work as a pizza delivery driver and is recognized around town as the tenth anniversary of the championship approaches. One delivery brings him to Kelly Quinn, his old girlfriend and the coach's daughter, who is engaged to a man named Winston. In Montreal, his employer Sonny has kept Tim busy as a hitman, and Sonny now wants him to carry out a job in Hamilton.
