Rob Ramsay

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Rob Ramsay is an actor for film, television, and the stage. He spent his youth doing plays and musicals while also playing football; the two interests came together when a casting director visited practice looking for football players for It's a Boy Girl Thing (2006), where the director gave him his first role. He later studied dramatic arts at Acadia University and simultaneously appeared in Disney's Aaron Stone and the Comedy Network series Pure Pwnage and The Jon Dore Show. After graduating, he played Donnie, a lineman, on the football comedy Blue Mountain State. In 2011 he got the lead in Patchtown, a dark satirical short about oppression, consumerism, and discarded love, and the film earned praise at the Festival de Cannes and Toronto International Film Festival. A feature-length version of that story finished production in 2013.
