Boomer Phillips

Boomer Phillips is an actor and stand-up comedian who first tried comedy in August 2005. He studied mechanical engineering and completed the Texas A&M University Fire Academy, but a lack of firefighting jobs led him toward the stage. By 2006 he was a finalist in three comedy contests: the Yuk Yuks Toronto Laugh Off, the Yuk Yuks Ajax Laugh Off, and the Ed Pollack Competition at the Hog town Comedy Festival. He signed with an acting agency that year and appeared in more than 30 Canadian and American television commercials. Much Music viewers knew him as a regular on Video on Trial, Star's Gone Wild, and Much On Demand. His acting credits included guest roles in ReGenisis and Urban Legends, recurring parts on The Smart Woman's Survival Guide and a new NBC show with Howie Mandel, and the lead in The Price of Acorn, a short invited to international screenings, among them the Turks and Caicos International Film Festival.
