Plot summary
Neil Truelove, Lyndon Baines Jellicoe, Dundine, Murray and Mkwela are teenage schoolboys on a British field hockey tour of the Netherlands. Away from home they drink, smoke and set about finding girls, and Dutch characters in the story include Romelia, Greetje and the Van Der Merwe family. The hockey match the team traveled to play slips to the back of their minds.
