Plot summary

The bell at Doraemon's neck is gone, taken by a robotic hand while he sleeps in his closet. Nobita asks why the bell matters, and Doraemon, keeping his reasons to himself, says only that it is valuable. The Sherlock Holmes Set gives them the name of the thief: Kaitō DX, a famous gadget robber of the 22nd century. After talking the matter over with Dorami, Doraemon, Nobita, Shizuka, Gian and Suneo travel to that era to the Secret Gadget Museum, where Director Fiks and Kurt, a young guide, receive them. Doraemon and Nobita hunt for the bell and meet Inspector Mustard, who is looking into a case linking Kaitō DX to the museum. Gian and Suneo shrink in the Gulliver Tunnel, and Nobita, Doraemon and Shizuka lose their way in a tunnel.
