Plot summary
Kate Fields works a middling job and spends most nights alone or on blind dates that go nowhere. Evie lives with her husband Todd and his parents, who do not respect her and steer her through charitable causes of their choosing. Charlie has the girlfriend of her dreams, Claire, whom she wants to marry, but neither her business nor her act holds together. The three gather at Kate's place for Taco Tuesday, where the letters they wrote to their future selves in high school have arrived in the mail. Kate's letter promised a career, a husband and a child, none of which she has. As her 30th birthday nears, Evie and Charlie plan a party at Todd's parents' house and invite their old high school friends.
