Plot summary
Colin McCormack is an openly gay columnist in his forties at a prominent newspaper. Stewart Wisniewski, a friend from most of his life, is a mostly closeted lawyer at a prominent law firm. They live next door, share meals and free time, and are emotionally close without being sexually involved. Colin pursues handsome men in their twenties for sex. Tee Bloom is 21, a gay African American college student who wins an internship at Colin's newspaper and seems to idolize him. Attraction between the two is mutual. After a night of heavy drinking they begin sleeping together, the involvement becomes intensely emotional, and Colin begins to imagine a life with him.
