Closer to God (2014) on Netflix

Plot summary

The first cloned human being is a baby girl named Elizabeth, delivered by Dr. Victor Reed in a laboratory he runs on a locked hospital floor with private funding. He tells the public about the birth but refuses to name anyone else involved in her conception, and he will not let her be seen yet. Reporters press him, and people who consider cloning an offense against God and nature protest. Medical advances the work might bring are mentioned by some, but the outcry is louder, and authorities come under pressure to charge Victor. Worried about the baby's security, he takes her from the lab to his home behind gates in the countryside, where his wife Claire has had enough of his neglect of their two preschool daughters.
