Plot summary
A daylight raid on an armored car on Tower Bridge leaves a guard shot dead, and the gang gets away by river. Part of the gang flees north on the M1, where the police force them off the road and one man dies. Mason drives off with a suitcase of the money, hides his car in a lake and carries the case to nearby buildings. The police are led to Barberini's Circus, where Manfred comes looking for work and Drago wears a full mask over a fire-damaged face. Someone unlocks the lion's cage and a circus girl is nearly killed, and the officers also investigate a body found with a knife beside it and question the knife-thrower.
