Skip Martin
Biography
Skip Martin was a British actor who appeared in a modest number of films and television shows and was often cast in horror pictures. Born Derek George Horowitz in Sydenham, London, he made his screen debut in Otto Preminger's historical drama Saint Joan (1957). He went on to play the cunning Hop Toad in Roger Corman's The Masque of the Red Death (1964), the sneaky blackmailer Mr. Big in Circus of Fear (1966), the sinister Michael in the Hammer production Vampire Circus (1972), the hapless Frederick in Horror Hospital, and the wicked Igor in the horror comedy Son of Dracula. Between acting assignments he worked as a tobacconist. He died in 1984.
