Plot summary
Divinity Falls appears to be a deserted rural town, but the children who live there serve a being called He Who Walks Behind the Rows. Six college students arrive by mistake, then find their car wrecked and the children held accountable for it. Allison, who leads the group, hears that Luke Enright has taken the children in as his wards, and that he calls himself their savior and the earthly representative of the god they serve. She remembers that her brother Jacob is among them. Allison and her friends set out for Enright's farm to learn the truth about the cult. Ezekiel stops them there and tells them they are on private property.
