Plot summary
Lee Simon's stalled writing career pushes him to divorce Robin and start over as an entertainment journalist, covering parties and interviewing celebrities. Robin, an English teacher before the marriage ended, goes on a Catholic retreat and meets television producer Tony Gardella at a plastic surgery consultation; she accompanies him reluctantly to a film premiere, where she runs into Lee. At a fashion show, a supermodel notices Lee's 1967 Aston Martin and invites him out. Lee also flirts with Nola, a young background extra on the set where he interviews the movie star Nicole Oliver, and he pitches Nicole a screenplay of his own.
