Plot summary
William Mayweather has invited his son Nathaniel to sail to Hawaii aboard The Queen Catherine, the family yacht. Nathaniel is a snobbish, self-centered graduate of a finishing school. On the way to the dock he annoys his limousine driver, who makes him walk the rest of the way, and he turns into a fishing village. There he meets Kenny, the cabin boy of a boat called The Filthy Whore, and takes the name for a theme, believing the boat is his father's yacht. He climbs aboard, and the next morning Captain Greybar finds him in his room and tells him the ship will not see land again for three months. Nathaniel tries to persuade each of the fishermen to set a course for Hawaii.

- Cabin Boy's devoted fans include comedian Patrick Monahan, drummer/comedian Jon Wurster, and producer Dan the Automator, and when Kino Lorber released it on Blu-ray, the boutique art-film label branded it "The Contentious Classic That Angered a Nation."
