Plot summary
Twelve-year-old Travis Barclay and his younger sister Whitney are sent to their grandparents' farm in Delbert County for the summer. A greedy land developer, Norm Blandsford, has been buying up the town and driving its residents off their land. After a run-in with one of Blandsford's men, Travis is chased into the forest, where he finds a magic portal to the hidden world of Paul Bunyan, who has lived there in exile for a hundred years.
