David, a former child actor, has an audition ahead for a role in a movie about Lewis and Clark and a wedding to Frankie only days away. Frankie leaves him before the wedding. Flula, his best friend and would-be best man, suggests that the two of them still take the honeymoon trip David had planned. David reads William Clark's diary, which recounts his expedition with Meriwether Lewis and the friendship they shared.

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Buddymoon was shot in ten days in the summer of 2014 on location in Oregon, and the actors worked from a detailed outline rather than a full script.
- The director shot every scene with two cameras at once using a "dueling singles" technique, and used natural light as much as possible.
