Plot summary
A young husband and father cannot make ends meet, so he sets out across the country for Williston, North Dakota, the center of an oil rush. Jobs in the booming oil fields are grueling and highly sought after, and he leaves his family behind to take one. He is one of thousands of Americans who make the same trip each year, chasing the American Dream and the wages that come with it. The oil money arrives fast, and the boom town around it offers its own glamour and distractions, which could carry him away from the better life he set out to build.
