Plot summary

A two-week trial of a new allergy drug promises Greg and Rob more than three thousand dollars each, money the two college students need for a spring break trip to Europe. They find the opportunity with Ravexin Pharmaceuticals while searching for odd jobs. The facility where the test takes place is remote and run-down, and its rules are strict, but they enroll anyway. There they meet Dr. Wilcox and other participants, among them Stacey and Nigel, who has taken part in trials before. The first dose, RXZ-19, causes violent bowel movements, yet the patients begin to show striking recovery from illness and injury. Worms and insects appear in the food, and only Greg seems to react to any of it.
