Fashion student Betsy Hopper and investment banker Jake Lovell plan to marry, and they want only an intimate reception. Relatives press for the couple's Jewish and Italian-Catholic heritage to be represented in the ceremony. Eddie's older daughter Connie is a police officer, a career her parents assume has kept her single.
