Nicolas Coster

Biography

Nicolas Coster was an American actor known for daytime drama and character roles on television. Born in London and raised mainly in California, he trained at the Royal Academy of the Dramatic Art and with Lee Strasberg. He made his television debut on The U.S. Steel Hour in 1959. He created Professor Paul Britton on The Secret Storm and later played Robert Delaney on Somerset and Another World. He was Lionel Lockridge on Santa Barbara, a role he played in 599 episodes, and he also appeared on One Life to Live, All My Children, and As the World Turns. His prime time work included Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Facts of Life, Wonder Woman, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, and T. J. Hooker. His films included All the President's Men (1976), MacArthur (1977), The Electric Horseman (1979), Stir Crazy (1980), Reds (1981), Big Business (1988), and The Deep Ones (2020). He died in 2023.
