Plot summary
Ben Platt takes the stage at Radio City Music Hall on the closing night of the tour for his first solo album, Sing to Me Instead. The set is drawn from that record, among the songs Bad Habit, Temporary Love, Honest Man, Rain, Ease My Mind and Older, alongside covers of Brandi Carlile's The Joke and Elton John's Take Me to the Pilot. A full band with guitars, strings, keyboards, bass and drums plays with him, and three backing singers join on vocals. Platt performs a cover of Stevie Wonder's Overjoyed at the concert, and it does not appear in the special.
