Plot summary
May 1990, sixty hours before the Stone Roses play Spike Island. Gary 'Tits' Titchfield, Darren 'Dodge' Hodge, Chris 'Zippy' Weeks, 'Little Gaz' Gareth Barrett and 'Penfold' Andrew Peach are fans of the band and members of a wannabe group called Shadowcaster. They want to hand the Stone Roses their cassette tape, and they mean to do it through Sally, a girl both Tits and Dodge have noticed, though Dodge has never spoken to her. Getting to the gig is another matter: the boys have no tickets, and Tits' brother Steve, known as Ibiza Steve, is their best hope of getting in. Tits' father is ill and getting worse as the gig approaches.
