Plot summary
Adam holds the lease on the Gateway property, and on his birthday he finds a wounded fox tangled in barbed wire while out for a morning jog. Eva, his girlfriend, works in the courtyard on a large replica of the Gaeta stone, the landmark the house is named for and a site that historical druids held sacred. Lucas, who owns the property, drives up with his girlfriend Chloe to celebrate, and the two of them stop at the stone, where a neopagan gathering is under way. Over dinner Chloe announces that she is pregnant. Lucas tries to renegotiate the sale of the house, and he and Adam come to blows; then the doorbell rings.
