Plot summary
After several years away, Danny Sullivan comes back to Silver River, his hometown in Wisconsin, in the middle of winter. He is a seminary student, and he has returned to assist the dying Father Rob. The people around him are skeptical once they learn that he has not spoken to his younger brother, Jake, in all those years. Jake lives apart from the town and sells marijuana. A young woman from Danny's past helps him track his brother down. The brothers carry scars from a tragedy in their shared past, which shaped both of their lives. Faith, ice fishing, temptation, drugs and music run through the time the two spend together.
