Plot summary

Water is scarce in the Okavango Delta because the yearly flood does not arrive. Rhinos and buffaloes, among them Biggie and Chino, fight over what is left. Billy, a gray meerkat, and Socrates, a vegetarian lion, go in search of water. The two travel through a place called the Valley of Death. There they meet animals from other lands: Sushi, a polar bear, Toby, a kangaroo, Smiley, a Tasmanian devil, the tortoises Winifred and Winston, and Charles, a rooster.
