The Elfkins: Baking a Difference (2019) on Netflix

Plot summary

For more than 200 years the Elfkins, the Heinzelmännchen of Cologne, have lived below ground, keeping clear of the upper world and of humans, whom they consider ungrateful and mean. Long ago they helped craftsmen at night in secret, until a tailor's malevolent wife drove them out. The lively young Elfkin Helvi can no longer bear the lack of space or of a life of her own. She makes her way up to the earth's surface with the Elfkin boys Kipp and Butz, two companions, to seek her own fate. On the surface she meets Theo, an initially grumpy pastry chef.
