The Strange Little Cat (2013) on Netflix

Plot summary

Karin and Simon visit their parents and their youngest sister Clara at the family apartment in Berlin on a Saturday in autumn. That evening, relatives are coming for dinner, and over the day more of them turn up, among them the grandmother, an aunt and a brother-in-law. The household works through its tasks: the washing machine gets fixed, everyone gathers at the kitchen table, someone carries out an experiment with orange peel, lungs come up in conversation, and a button that was torn off on purpose is sewn back on. A cat and a dog wander from room to room through the apartment.
