Plot summary
It is 1957 in California's Mojave Desert, where astronomer Ted Lewis is preparing an anniversary dinner with steaks for his wife Lana while he observes the annual Perseid meteor shower. In town, diner waitress Tammy sees a shooting star and takes it as a good sign. Something does come down and it lands in the nearby mountains. Ted goes to investigate the supposed meteorite and finds a spaceship. Its passenger, a tall metallic alien called Urp, takes over Ted's body so he can pass among people. A second passenger, the one-eyed Ghota, has escaped the craft, and it consumes human beings to grow and multiply. Chief Dawson and Officer Vern of the local police dismiss it all. Tammy is the only person in town who believes and trusts Urp, so he enlists her help to hunt the Ghota.

- The visual effects in Alien Trespass were created with CG but made to appear properly low-tech, so that they would blend with the film's 1950s B-movie spirit, looking like large plastic creatures and saucers on strings.
- Alien Trespass copies the look and feel of 1950s science fiction films with one notable exception: it is in color, while 1950s films were black-and-white, the norm at the time because it cost less.
