Plot summary
Tammy Slayton, Andrea Framm's best friend, is moving with her family to California, and Andrea hopes to earn enough money to travel out and see her there. Andrea's older brother, Josh Framm, has decided to spend the summer playing football at college rather than come back to Fernfield for the vacation. Buddy, the golden retriever that Andrea owns, has an uncanny ability to play volleyball. Gram Gram, Andrea's maternal grandmother, is Polly's owner, and Polly is a talking parrot. Andrea's widowed mother is Jackie Framm-Sullivan, her stepfather is Patrick Sullivan, and her younger half-brother is Noah Sullivan. Connor is Andrea's love interest.
