Trailer

Plot summary

Sebastian manages a hotel in Chicago and shares a home with his girlfriend, Ellie Collins, a modern artist. For Independence Day weekend she invites him to her family's estate in Virginia, and he plans to propose there. He asks his father Salvo, a Sicilian-American hairstylist, for his late grandmother's wedding ring. Salvo agrees, provided he meets Ellie's parents first. Sebastian hesitates, aware of how far apart his immigrant family and the wealthy Collinses stand. Salvo accepts, and at White Oak, the family's country club estate, the differences between them surface at once.
