Plot summary
Eve Morgan devotes herself to her career and pushes other parts of her life away. She falls and is killed shortly before Christmas. The angel Pearl meets her and says she has been picked to serve as a Christmas angel. She is the poorest trainee the Christmas angels have ever had. Pearl gives her the task of helping Max, a musician who earns his living as a fry cook. Max cares for his niece, whose parents died several years ago. Max has recently missed an audition, and Eve encourages him to go for it.
